With both teams calling up 4 - 5 players from the U17's and both with players out through injury the game had an air of uncertainty about it.

 

Metro worked hard getting 9 men behind the ball very quickly making it hard for us to break their defence down and then trying to catch us out on the quick break.

 

We had one great chance in the first half with the ball being cleared off the line (A little referee birdie behind the goal indicated the ball may have even crossed the line....good case for goal line technology?!).

 

Leading 1 - 0 in the second half through a well executed move it looked like we could go on and win however a free kick just outside the box gave Metro the opportunity to equalise and the game ended in a 1 - 1 draw.
